Hidden Gem Gardening was started when owner Meg decided to set out to work on her own terms. Irregular work schedules and uncertain futures prompted Meg to be bold and set out on an uncharted path. With over a decade of plant and landscaping experience, coinciding degrees in Plant Science and Animal Science from Cornell University, and experience in both female and male lead garden teams, Meg took her diverse learnings to create her own beautiful business. Her mission is to nurture sustainable, functional, and enduring landscapes with their primary caregivers.
Born in Southern California and raised in four states spanning both coasts, she has a wide range of plant knowledge and exposure to landscaping practices. She believes proper plant selection, use of permeable, earth-friendly materials, and efficient irrigation practices can create a healthy habitat and beautiful garden that will last.
